PURE HEALTHY WATER IS LIFE…
AND A STATE OF MIND
By Stacey Kumagai
Believe. Love. Compassion. Peace. Is it water or simply a State of Mind? For Los-Angeles based State of Mind Water, it’s not only both, but it’s also a way of bringing consciousness to life. AND it’s ‘greener and cleaner.’ This organic water which is easier on the kidneys isn’t just good for your health, but it’s also good for the planet.
“I think general public has a misconception about plastic packaging. Most people don't know that glass takes 3x more energy to produce, deliver, and recycle than plastic. This actually can cause more harm to our environment. We all need to do our part to recycle properly so we can be more efficient and keeping our earth clean,” states State of Mind Water’s Founder, Laura Thereza.
Thereza knows her water’s packaging is important. Glass is not readily accepted everywhere for recycling and other plastics in competitive waters leach harmful chemicals. So she not only made sure that the bottling for State of Mind Water addressed all this, with the PETE1 plastic bottle which makes this a much greener choice and also takes less energy to produce and ship. This ‘mindful’ choice not only brings awareness to the consumer, but also helps them do their part to help the planet doing something they do everyday anyway, which is drink water.
Helping the American economy is also a ‘State of Mind’ practice as the water is a 100% American homemade product. “We can't speak about other bottled water company in regards to being 100% American made, but we can GUARANTEE that State of Mind Water is 100% sourced and bottled in America. We just hope people understand that by using resources in our country, we can closely ensure the quality of each bottled water and at the same time provide employment opportunity in America. We are proud that our water is certified by National Science Foundation (NSF), International Bottled Water Association (IBWA), and Unification of Orthodox Jewish Congregation of America (U- the highest orthodox recognition) and the FDA,” explains Thereza
The water crisis in Africa is actually covered more by 'mainstream media' and people are aware of the clean water problem the country is faced with. However Southern California has its own water 'shortage’ and this is becoming more of a reality, all throughout America, with drinking water being the hardest hit. “I feel that we waste lots of water everyday. This has started to cause serious impact to our life. We need to conserve and preserve our resources to provide a better environment for our future, our children and our planet,” Thereza declares. “When we demonstrate our water to the consumers, we do share with them the fact that we donate a portion of our sales to a non-profit organization called "Drop InThe Bucket," they donate 100% of their proceeds to build water wells in Africa. We now see more people buying drinking water than ever before. It is a great thing to see that people are more health conscious and concern about the quality of water they consume everyday,” states Thereza.
BELIEVE you can drink water and be green. LOVE the fact you are helping the planet and the water crisis as you have COMPASSION for others and have PEACE of mind know you are doing your part.
Believe. Love. Compassion. Peace. It’s not just water. It’s a State of Mind.
